An all Mesmer team
What I'd really want to see to know if it works is an *all*mesmer build....
I mean think about it!
No one can hardly cast anything, everyone loses energy !
You can only use signets and do normal attacks....and still then you get damage if you try
That would truly be an awfull thing to go face to face against!
What do you guys think?

Or just flareway? zomg original!
Edit:
On the subject, here's a rather good example of a flareway build with skills that don't suck

Thank you but you needn't insult me of flame a question. I did a search and found nothing on this subject and was simply inquiring.
I don't know much about the different build either.
Does it work? When was it made? Who uses it?
And might it work with other than just Me/E but with a mixture of different secondaries?

Yes it works.
MeMo heal for only 15% less hp and have twice as much energy.
MeE are the true spikers.
MeN curse like crazy and get every corpse.
MeW doesnt care for blindness, crippling or aegis
MeR just interrupts everything
Me enjoys health degeneration and slow targets.
mesmers rise!

All echo nukers I can't imagine would be really any fun which I think is all that seem to be out there. I personally love playing my mesmer and I hate coming up against them when using my monk.
I think it would be fun as long as they were not all doing echo and being more creative.
You will always have the smartass replying to your posts now and then, just ignore them and let them go throw their ZOMG tantrums elsewhere.

An all Mesmer team, complete with everyone having Arcane Mimicry. Need an elite skill? Get it from Player X.
The great potential of this is that every player on the team would be able to use any of their elites (if they take Mesmers elites, anyways) as well as his own.
The thought of this is frightening. An all Mesmer team has an incredible potential thanks to this.

My guild has formed an all-mesmer team - The Merry Men. So far we have:
Merry Man Neil (my toon) - Me/Mo
Merry Man Bob - Me/R
Merry Man Peter - Me/W
Merry Man Nickolas - Me/E
For some of us, this is our second account, so we are taking it easy and going through all the missions again. Once we get comfortable with our builds, we will do some PvP and see how it pans out.
So far, at around 7th level, they are quite nasty - in PvE anyway.

Hm...I've done a 4 N/Me team with full hexes and soul barbs, of course it could go the other way with fast casting, which is what we were trying to do, but we had to leave =/

Would be fun with an almost all Mesmer team. Went out once with 3 mesmers + 3 others. I think it would be great if the mesmers coordinated a bit on what they take with them. Some might concentrate on anti warrior stuff, some on spell disruptors, etc.
Overkill would be if all of them took echo+chaos storm. Imagine doubling up chaos storm 3 or 4 or more times on the same mob?
But its fun with groups that are almost totally composed of the same profession - did it with rangers recently and that rocked! Might be a tad boring with all warriors, and might not work so well with all necros if they all wanted corpses.

Right before the Ladder reset, KnV used 4 Me/N hexers and 1 Awaken/Soul Barbs N/Me. I won't call it a "build" since we just took the 1st 5 guildies that had a mesmer. I ran the N/Me with Awaken, Soul Barbs and some enchantment removal and corpse control. The Me/N ran any 5-6 hexes they wanted to run, a res and something to manage energy. We honestly laughed our arses off at the teams we beat with our Mes. One team was a minion factory. Both sides laughed at each other with our trick builds.

er, but if you didnt notice there has been a huge balancing of skills recently, which kind of means that every single build that has previously been designed must be looked at again, to see if there are better skills to use. an IWAY team wouldnt have worked before they alterd it for example.
I think thats what the Author of this thread was asking, not suggesting that his idea was new... but that the idea might be worth looking at again..
and he's right... an all mesmer team would definatly work, the only flaw I see is that the mesmers primary is Fast casting... which, I dont know.. seems useless to me :S
I think a better build would be one where everyone has mesmer as their secondary proffesion.... and use the primary stats to enhance the mesmer skills.
for example.. an Elem / Mesmer would mean that this character could pile up with high cost spells due to energy storage.
a Monk mesmer could use their massive energy regen to use lots of high cost-fast casting mesmer spells.
The other advantage of this is that the enemy would take much longer to realise that its really a mesmer build in disguise
Anyone else think that Fastcasting is kind of lame?.. you just run out of energy so much quicker, and there isnt any real advantage. most mesmer stuff is like 3/4 of a second anyway.

What I mean is, fast casting is usless for mesmer skills. unlike the way that Strength compliments the warrior weapon skills, and energy storage compliments the ele's high casting cost spells.. etc...
odd.. the cheap skills that the mesmer has compliments other professions as a secondary proffesion very well, but a mesmers main attribute compliments its secondary proffesion better.
maybe this is all intentional. after all there is what.. only one fast casting skill.

You'll never realize the difference fast casting makes until you've tried to interrupt things without Arcane Conundrum using a mesmer secondary and, say, an ele primary.

I was in an all-mesmer team in TA the other night.
4 mesmers all using IW & Blackout.
Worked really well once people started focusing on their target (#1 takes their #1 etc.)
With decent points into domination blackout lasts 7 secs on the target, leaving them 3 secs to do something. Pretty nasty when the entire team gets hit with that every 10 secs
